It took a bit of setup but I’m now taking preorders for my art book! For reasons (mostly paypal), I cannot use storenvy for preorders so I have set up a Google form. If you fill out this form you will reserve a copy and only once the books arrive will I bill you. If you feel like you may need to change your info in the future, please bookmark the page after the form is completed. I’ve never done this Google forms thing before so please bear with me!

I never posted about how school stuff went (in fact I dunno if I even said I was headed to SoCal for registration with Eorii but…. yeah) so quick blurb. Art school is finally really really happening now ~~thankfully cause~~ ~~I’m tired of being accepted and not being able to pay for it dear God~~. :D

Met some cool people at the LCAD early reg on Saturday, and not just students, but both animation co-chairs and former Disney animators, Dave Kuhn and Dave Pruiksma. I was really psyched to meet Dave P, he’s known for animation on Mrs. Potts and Chip, Sultan, and he worked on Bernard and Bianca from Rescuers Down Under MY FAVORITE ANIMATED MICE OK I LOVE THE RESCUERS, AND he’s listed as my advisor aslkdjg I’m still screaming over it. They were both so nice and funny and they know their shit aslkjdg I’m looking forward to school even more now but I feel like I gotta up my game!!! 8|

And since Eorii met her new boss and I went along, he met with me too and said they’d totally be willing to hire me as a caricature artist!! SO I CAN HAVE A JOB—AND AN ART JOB NO LESS—WHEN WE MOVE, WHICH WORKS OUT BEAUTIFULLY. 8D Need to draw more portraits and study caricature!

Sadly we’re leaving SoCal today so our little trip is drawing to a close. Just gotta finish packing and check out today, then the loooong drive back to NorCal. D’8 But I’m really excited to come back in a few months aslkjasdjkh

So I realized that my anatomy and poses were getting boring but then I realized how bases are actually a really great tool! You can learn a lot of good anatomy tips from using a base! ^//v//^ So I’ve decided that I’ll be using bases for my art for a little while! Hope you guys like this it’s me and Eorii’s OCs sneaking a kiss please don’t steal or repost thx! Oh yeah I edited out the boobs cause helloooo it’s all about yaoi!!

I redid my very first repainted MH doll, Dance Class Operetta. :D I’ve definitely learned a lot about painting these now, tried a lot of different techniques and such. I’ve learned to love Operetta (and her sculpt is really cute!), but I always find it funny that when I paint her, she ends up being so much sweeter and less rough around the edges than she is in the series. XD

Anywho, even though it’s hard to let her go (as she has sentimental value as the first MH doll I repainted) because I am desperately trying to make money ~~since I still don’t have a job everyone says they’re hiring in summer sigh~~ she is up on Ebay! :)

Oop a bit late posting her here. :D DC Lagoona repaint! I’m seriously having so much fun painting these wow even if it’s a lot of work I think I’m addicted at the moment. ;-;

And on that note, my repainted Frankie sold already!! ;___; I’m so so so happy! I seriously ran around my house telling everyone in the family when I found out!! I hope she gets there safely! I’m gonna buy another can of MSC since I’m running low, and then keep saving so I can pay off my school expenses. uvu;;;; ~~No more excessive doll buying for me.~~

Pictures of the RM Frankie I repainted yay! :D I stuck to her original green lip color, cause it was cute, though I used a different shade. She’s also got her stitch paint removed from her body (it was a trial, and I am never ever ever doing that again LOL). I really like Frankie’s sculpt, I think. She’s pretty cute. And strangely, I’ve already painted three of them! @-@; Not interested in having one for myself though. XD

Anywho, she’s listed for sale on Ebay here if anyone is interested! :3 I’d freak out with excitement if she sold I think. @___@

Approaching the eyes more like how I used to draw eyes pre-2012 in this instance, which is really tough cause I never sharpen my pencils LOL But fun… *A* Weather permitting, I should be done with her in a day or two! >:D Wish me luck though cause the weather’s been windy and rainy so I can’t seal the paint… orz
